I was listening to Michael W. Smith's "Agnus Dei" and my spirit was lifted. In fact I listened to it more than once. I love his rendition, but I also like very much the Third Day version. I included the Third Day here if you would like to hear it. I thought about the words "Worthy is the Lamb" and it brought to my mind the sacrifice of Christ on the cross on my behalf. Not for me alone but for all the redeemed. He is worthy of all our praise, all our devotion, all our strength and our life's ambitions and goals and desires. At first I thought I am so unworthy to worship Him, but then I was convicted because I am worthy through Christ. "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God" (1 John 3:1). He has purchased my redemption by His blood. "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" (Rev 5:12)
